  14. I just got done getting email back from Penril about their Alliance
  15. modem.  After testing this modem for almost 2 weeks, I couldn't figure
  16. out why I've never seen an asymmetric speed connect on this modem.  I
  17. emailed Penril about this, and apparently the Alliance modem does not
  18. support this feature in async mode!!!  And will they ever add it?
  19. They said that they have no plans to!!!

  21. I can't believe this.  Penril says in their company statements that
  22. this modem supports every feature of the v.34 protocol.  Guess what,
  23. your $200 SupraFAXModem 28.8 supports one v.34 feature that this modem
  24. does not:  Asymmetric speeds!!!!
