- Hello all!!!!
-
- I just got done getting email back from Penril about their Alliance
- modem. After testing this modem for almost 2 weeks, I couldn't figure
- out why I've never seen an asymmetric speed connect on this modem. I
- emailed Penril about this, and apparently the Alliance modem does not
- support this feature in async mode!!! And will they ever add it?
- They said that they have no plans to!!!
-
- I can't believe this. Penril says in their company statements that
- this modem supports every feature of the v.34 protocol. Guess what,
- your $200 SupraFAXModem 28.8 supports one v.34 feature that this modem
- does not: Asymmetric speeds!!!!
-
- Well, I thought that everyone should know this.
